Projet mixed media + Silhouette / Mixed media + Silhouette project

Aujourd'hui, sur le forum de Scrapbook Laurentides, je vous présente ce projet mixed media auquel j'ai intégré des découpes faites avec ma Silhouette, en l'occurrence les deux oiseaux noirs sur leur branche.

Today, on the Scrapbook Laurentides forum, I am featuring this mixed media project. I cut the black birds on the branch with my Silhouette.

 

 

Six filles, un produit / Six girls, one product (Un peu fleur bleue)

Il y a quelques temps, sur le blog Un peu fleur bleue, j'ai présenté un paquet de fleurs acheté au Dollorama. Les voici ci-dessous. J'en ai acheté quelques paquets, puis j'ai posté 15 fleurs à chaque membre de mon équipe et je leur ai demandé de créer une page avec ces fleurs.

Voici la mienne. J'ai choisi de mettre l'accent sur le fond et les lys, et je n'ai utilisé aucun papier (le fond est fait d'un carton aggloméré). J'ai utilisé diverses techniques mixed media et produits pour créer mon fond : gesso, peinture acrylique, médium gel, Silks et encres en vaporisateur.

Est-ce que ça vous arrive des fois d'avoir une idée en tête, et finalement, quand vous finissez par la concrétiser, ce n'est pas à la hauteur de vos attentes? Eh bien, ça m'arrive régulièrement, mais je dois dire que dans ce cas, le résultat final dépasse mes espérances et ce que j'avais envisagé au départ! :) Je suis vraiment contente du résultat.

A while ago, on the Un peu fleur bleue blog, I showed a bunch of flowers I got at Dollorama. Here they are, below. I bought a few packs and mailed 15 flowers to each member of my team, and asked them to come up with a layout made with those flowers. 

Here's mine. I decided to put the emphasis on the background and lilies only, and I didn't use any paper (the background is made of chipboard). I used various mixed media techniques and mediums to create my background: gesso, acrylic paint, medium gel, Silks and mists. 

Does this happen to you sometimes? You have an idea and think it through in your head, and when you finally try it, you don't really like the end result or it is not what you expected? It is something that happens quite often as far as I'm concerned, but in this case, the end result is better than what I envisonned in the first place! LOL! So I am really happy with how it turned out.
