Défi de mars / March challenge (More than Words)
Voici la page que j'ai créée pour le blog More than Words. Ce mois-ci, il fallait s'inspirer du mot "Bliss" et utiliser du gesso. Mon fond est fait sur un chipboard 12 x 12 enduit de gesso, et mes cadres en chipboard ont aussi été recouverts de gesso.
La photo est une photo de ma grand-mère à l'âge de 19 ans, en 1936!
Here's the layout I created for the More than Words blog. This month, we have to be inspired by the word "Bliss" and use gesso. The word "Bonheur" can translate "Bliss" in French. My background is a 12 x 12 chipboard that I primed with gesso. The frames have also been primed with gesso.

SOULIERS ALTÉRÉS
J'ai acheté une paire de souliers en toile blancs au WalMart et je les ai altérés avec les Silks Acrylic Glazes. J'ai utilisé trois couleurs : Guatemalan Green (turquoise), Rich Cobalt (bleu foncé) et Snap Dragon (mauve). Quand le tout a été sec, j'ai ajouté des petits touches de couleurs avec les pigments Primary Elements. J'ai utilisé deux couleurs : Luv-U-Pink (rose) et Sunflower (jaune). Ensuite, j'ai vaporisé de la couleur à l'intérieur avec les Radiant Rains. J'ai utilisé une seule couleur, Elderberry. J'ai ajouté des pierres décoratives et remplacé les lacets par des rubans.
ALTERED SHOES
I bought a pair of white canvas shoes at Walmart and added color with the Silks Acrylic Glazes, using a paintbrush. I used three different colors: Guatemalan Green (teal), Rich Cobalt (dark blue) and Snap Dragon (purple). Once the shoes were dried, I applied touches of the Primary Elements Pigments here and there, using my finger. I used two different colors: Luv-U-Pink (pink) and Sunflower (yellow). I sprayed the inside of the shoes with the Radiant Rains. I used only one color. Elderberry. I added rhinestones and used ribbons instead of shoelaces.

Boîte altérée / Altered box (ColourArte)
Aujourd'hui, je vous présente un projet pour l'appel DT ColourArte : une boîte altérée! / Today, I am featuring a project for the ColourArte DT call: an altered box!
Liste du matériel / List of supplies:
Directives / Directions:
1) Dévisser les charnières et la fermeture de la boîte. / Unscrew the hinges and the lock.
2) À l'aide du gesso noir, peindre toute la boîte (intérieur et extérieur). / Using black gesso, paint the box (inside and outside).
3) Coller la forme de carton aggloméré sur le dessus et la recouvrir de gesso noir. / Glue the chipboard on the top of the box and cover with black gesso.
4) Lorsque c'est sec, appliquer une mince couche de médium gel. / Once it is dry, apply a thin coat of gel medium.
5) Appliquer une mince couleur de Silks Acrylic Glaze - couleur Sea Spray partout sur la boîte. Laisser quelques zones noires ici et là. / Apply a thin coat of Silks Acrylic Glaze - Sea Spray all over the project. Leave some black areas here and there.
6) Appliqer ensuite des touches des autres couleurs ici et là, dans cet ordre : Pretty Peridot, Watermelon Mist et Boysenberry / Then, apply the other colors here and there, in this order: Pretty Peridot, Watermelon Mist and Boysenberry.
7) À l'aide des Primary Elements Artist Pigments, couleur Emperor’s Gold, créer un vaporisateur dans une bouteille vide. Utiliser environ 1 partie de pigments pour 5 parties d'eau. / Using the Primary Elements Artist Pigments in Emperor’s Gold, create a spray in an empty spray bottle. I used about 1 part of pigments for 5 parts of water.
8) Vaporiser la couleur partout sur le projet. Faire sécher avec le fer à embosser. Au besoin, ajouter plus de couleur. Ça brille de mille feux! / Spray the color all over the project. Dry with the heat gun. If needed, add more color. See how shiny it is!
9) Ajouter des gouttes d'encre noire et blanche / Add black and white ink.
10) Revisser les charnières et la fermeture. Décorer en ajoutant les ornements. / Screw back the hinges and the lock. Add the embellishments.
